In 2010, the Golder Trust for Orphans invested $6,500 USD to build a laundry facility at Lewa Children’s Home in Kenya to make it easier for the caretakers to do the laundry for over 100 children. Previously, they washed diapers, school uniforms, play clothes and bedding by hand every day – the work was back breaking and they needed a better solution.
