History
Golder AssociatesĀ has had a long history of contributing to the well being of the communities in which we live and work.
Soon after the establishment of GolderĀ in Africa in 2003, it was recognised that the AIDS pandemic was wreaking havoc on the healthy development of families and communities all over southern Africa. Golder decided to establish a Trust that would support children who had been orphaned by the AIDS pandemic.
Rather than providing handouts, the guiding principle of the Trust would be to provide funding for sustainable forms of support in communities who had identified long-term development projects that required financial capital and other resources.
Seed funding for the establishment of the Golder Trust for Orphans was committed in August 2003.
