Improving Lives Through Sustainable Solutions

View the Golder Trust for Orphans Info Sheet

As part of our commitment to sustainability, Golder Associates formed the Golder Trust for Orphans in 2003 to provide support to children and families in Africa who have been orphaned or displaced by the AIDS pandemic.

The Trust, which is funded mainly by contributions from Golder’s operating companies and Golder staff, provides financial support to NGOs in Africa caring for and counselling families and dependants of people living with HIV/AIDS. The Golder Trust for Orphans supports NGOs and other organisations of all religions and ethnic groups.

The Trust provides one time grant support to organisations looking for immediate aid but directs most of its funding towards sustainable development projects that help organisations fund their own activities in a sustainable way. To date our efforts are supporting over 1000 children through funding being provided to eight projects in Africa.
